We recognise that EPIC users are running business-critical systems and require their System Administrators to be aware of problems if they arise and to take prompt action to diagnose and resolve them.
With EPIC Monitor, Administrators can be in touch with the system at all times. The app allows you to view information about your EPIC installation, including any updates received from EPIC, business processes, the status of network connections, and an overall view of the EPIC system and its running tasks.
Manage EPIC on your iPhone
EPIC Monitor consists of four main sections allowing you to manage remotely or simply check the following for your EPIC installations:
• Notifications - get real-time updates
• Files In Error - manage your business processes
• Companies - manage your network connections
• Statistics - view your EPIC business intelligence
You will receive real-time updates from EPIC to keep you informed of important processing activities as they occur in the system.
Notifications are sent from EPIC to alert you to events that occur within the EPIC environment, such as the receipt of a new file or an error in file processing.
EPIC Monitor will receive this information as a "push notification" allowing you to be notified about problems, without the need to proactively connect or make manual checks.
Manage Business Processes
Following receipt of an EPIC notification about an error in file processing, you can view details of the file and the specific error in this part of the app.
If a file processing task ends in error, you will be alerted about it immediately and can start to diagnose the fault.
Likewise, if a communication problem prevents a file from being transmitted, you will instantly receive a notification and can take steps to correct the problem or select an alternative channel for transmission.
With EPIC Monitor you will always be aware of potential problems and can act to resolve them in a timely manner.
Manage Network Connections
You can check the status of network connections to your communication partners or to your internal systems. Any failed calls will be highlighted, allowing you to initiate a manual call from EPIC Monitor.
For a given network you can view details of the last connection, including any error messages, number of files exchanged etc.
You can initiate a new connection to the network or make a manual call in order to re-start a connection that has been suspended.
This means that you can keep an eye on all your vital connections and ensure that communications are maintained at all times.
The statistics provide an overview of the EPIC system and allow you to view the individual tasks running on the EPIC Server, as well as an overview of the operating system (memory, disk usage etc). High level performance metrics are also provided.
By keeping track of EPIC’s performance, you can be in total control of the environment.
Always be in control
If you are running a mission-critical system and need constant visibility and control of the system, EPIC Monitor will provide the service you need. If you want to find out more about EPIC and how it can help your business, contact email@example.com
